Download Segment Route 2.9.26 for Windows 10 or 11
This is the official download page for Segment Route. The button gives the original setup program, about 34 MB, built for Windows 10 and 11 (x64). It does not give the portable single .exe, which is a separate file of about 25 MB.
- Press the download button. Your browser saves the setup program, about 34 MB. This website records the time, the IP address, the browser user agent and the referral source of the press to count downloads, and then redirects you to the installer. Nothing is asked from you before the file starts.
- Compare the SHA-256 checksum of the saved file with the value in the published manifest, using the Windows command shown in the verification section below. Continue only when both values are identical, and download the file again if they are not.
- Run the setup program. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning. Choose More info and then Run anyway, but only after the checksum has matched the manifest. The warning is the reason the checksum step exists, and it is why the manifest value matters more than the look of the file name.
- Open Segment Route, connect a model (a cloud AI provider through an API endpoint, a model running locally on your PC, or the built-in model) and choose the working folder that holds your route files. Then describe your first task in the chat, for example listing every redirect in your route files, and read the cards that come back. Choose Plan only first if you would like to see the plan before anything runs.
No account is needed to run Segment Route. A cloud AI provider that you connect through an API endpoint may charge for its own usage, which is a matter between you and the provider, and the app does not set that price. The built-in model is ready to use without your own endpoint. Keep your route files in one working folder, and keep a backup copy of any live configuration before the agent edits it, so that a rollback is always one copy away. A short written list of the status codes you expect after the change is also worth having.
System requirements
Segment Route 2.9.26 runs on Windows 10 and 11 (x64). It works in a local Windows folder, in WSL, or with a server you own through SSH, where Shell commands run on the server while the file tools work in the chat's working folder. The interface is available in 13 languages. Use the app only on servers and domains that you own or are authorised to administer, and read each diff before you accept it, especially on a live proxy.
Updates
New versions are published automatically, and the app shows an Update button when a new version is ready. The installer build enables auto-updates. Version 2.9.26 was released on 2 Nov 2026. The portable single .exe, about 25 MB, is a separate file for people who prefer it, and the button on this page gives the setup program only. If you use the portable file, check its SHA-256 checksum against the manifest in the same way.
Verify the download
